Igniting your imagination.
The Vidarbha Literary Foundation and the Balmitra Foundation have joined hands to grow a love of reading among school children in Nagpur through a programme aptly named LitSpark. We choose international best-sellers with inspiring stories centred on young people, then engage students in thoughtfully crafted activities that draw out the heart of each book — while building real skills along the way: public speaking, vocabulary, research, practical computing, and much more.
Our pilot began on 12 July 2025 at Sanskar Vidya Sagar School, Nandanvan, Nagpur, where a dedicated Saturday slot lets us meet the school's wonderful, enthusiastic students week after week. We are deeply grateful to Director Asha Kamath, Principal Deshpande, and the teaching staff for making room for reading in their week.
